Learn More

Are you interested in learning more about INsight? Check out the information below and if you have any questions, or are interested in working with us, let us know!

  • This program is currently only available in select schools for the pilot year (’24-’25 school year). Our goal is to expand into additional schools for the ’25-’26 school year. If you’re interested in one of those schools being yours, send an email to Heather Low (heather.low@talberthouse.org) and she will reach out to your school to discuss the possibility.

    There is also a chance of a speaker coming in for a Psychology or related class this school year to discuss careers in the field based on availability and schedule. We would be happy to reach out to your school/teacher(s) to discuss options.

    If you’re interested in learning more about careers in Behavioral Health overall, be sure to scope out the other information on the Behavioral Health Regional Workforce Coalition pages. There are more resources being added regularly!

  • This program is currently only available in select schools for the pilot year (’24-’25 school year). Our goal is to expand into other schools next year (’25-’26), to be determined. If you’re interested in one of those schools being your student’s, send an email to Heather Low (heather.low@talberthouse.org) and she will reach out to discuss the possibility.

    The programming is largely built into the school day to support balancing the demands of students’ other activities such as sports, part time jobs, and family responsibilities. There are some activities available outside of school hours, but a majority of those are not mandatory for successful program completion.

    The involvement of a parent/guardian is mostly up front – getting information about the program and giving your student permission. Parent/guardian will also help assist students in getting enrolled in the payment system for Juniors and Seniors. From there, the level of involvement will be on a case-by-case basis and what is best fit for the individual student. Our goal is to promote and teach responsibility for the student in the program, while still ensuring information gets shared at an appropriate level.

  • As we move further into this school year we are looking ahead at next year and wanting to coordinate school partnerships as soon as possible for the ‘25-‘26 school year. We’ve learned a lot from the building process and are eager to implement all the knowledge we’ve acquired to expand next school year. Our hope is to be setting up these partnerships in Spring 2025 to be ready to start off in August 2025 with minimal addition to start-of-school-year demands. If you’re interested in this program at your High School for the ’25-’26 school year, please email Heather Low (heather.low@talberthouse.org) to coordinate a time to discuss.

    Requirements for school setup;

    • Point contact person

    • Coordination for time with students

      • Varies by grade level

      • For Seniors, internship credit if possible

    • Space for INsight School Navigator to sit (does not require HIPAA compliance)

    • Collaboration on creating permission form (from current Work Based Learning form if available)

    • Engagement with LinkedUp Connect, through Hamilton County ESC, for career assessment & experienceship access

  • Are you interested in partnering with us for this year or in future years? Our current community partners are from various niches within the area and collaborate to support the creation of the program. We’re looking ahead to continue to collaborate with them, and others, into future years to ensure strong growth and expanded access to resources. Please reach out to Heather Low (heather.low@talberthouse.org) to coordinate a time to discuss your interest further.

    This year we will be seeking partners to engage in “experienceships” with the students in our programs – these are things like informational interviews about various roles within the Behavioral Health field, tours of Behavioral Health service related facilities, and appropriate job shadowing. If you have any opportunities like that, please let us know!
